Join the African American Initiative of the Colorado Democrats (AAICD) this Saturday, July 21st for two community events at 10 am and 2 pm to meet Colorado State Attorney General (AG) Candidate Phil Weiser.
The first event will be in Denver from 10 am - 12 pm at the Sam Gary Branch Library located at 2961 Roslyn St, Denver, CO 80238. The second event will be at the Dayton Street Opportunity Center located at 1797 Geneva St, Aurora, CO 80010.
Come learn about how Phil's campaign and how he plans to work with the African American community. Share your thoughts and concerns about what you would like to see in Colorado's next AG.
This will be the first stop on the AAICD Freedom Stops Tour. The purpose of the Freedom Stops is to tour the Colorado Black Community to bring political awareness, listen to your concerns, and support local candidates and elected officials.
AAICD wants to make sure the African American voice is heard within the State of Colorado and the Democratic Party.
The goal of AAICD is to make sure that concerns particular to African Americans are addressed in the November 6th, 2018 election and beyond.
It doesn't matter whether you are talking entertainment, sports, or politics, the African American community will not get respect, or true change, until we've gained a degree of representation in hearts and minds of Colorado elected officials. We MUST vote, it is not an option we can afford!
