Mule-farming in rural Alabama is the focus of Thordis Simonsen’s evocative black and white photograph exhibition that documents vestiges of a quickly vanishing way of life. A lifelong friendship with Sara Brooks, an Alabama native, allowed Thordis to capture a rare glimpse into the life of an African-American farming community. |
